Celestial Bodies: Egyptian Medical Astrology of the 36 Decans

$20.00

In the cosmology of the ancient Egyptians, the Goddess of the firmament- Nut- the mother of Isis and Osiris, bent herself over the world, holding up the stars and sky. Her body itself is composed of the stars and Decans- the 36 stellar apparitions of the Egyptian celestial gods and timekeepers. Each one, tasked with constructing and preserving (or destroying) one part of the body, reveals the instinctual mechanisms of the body’s construction, housed within the stars of the sky and 36 sectors of the zodiacal heaven. They also reveal predispositions to medical crises, physical blessings or cosmetic enhancements. We will take a look at these 36 body parts, connect them to the segments of the zodiac, and better understand our own mind-body-spirit connection through the lens of this ancient wisdom.
